Re: Swap 2015!
My mega swap gift has been posted today!
Sadly my mini swap gift isn't ready yet due to the ladies in my family deciding to spend lots of time in hospital over the last few months. There will be extra goodies inside to make up for it though when it finally gets sent out!

Re: Swap 2015!
I received my mega swap gift from LucyInTheSky today!
A large box, with tons of those packing s things to dig in: I found some things! Stickers, nail wraps and a chocolate bar - all from companies in Seattle. Digging a bit deeper now, I find something big, wrapped in bubble wrap. HOLY CRAP I CAN'T EVEN Awesome! But there's more underneath...pillow cases with cross stitched Black Mages on them! And some quilted cases to go with my Black Mage quilt from tnitnetny. The collection expands again! Finally, I find a pink bag at the very bottom, with this inside: Everybody knows I suffer badly from clinical depression and anxiety (and more.) For those who don't know, the semicolon on this pendant is a symbol of Project Semicolon. "A semicolon represents a sentence the author could have ended, but chose not to. That author is you and the sentence is your life." This is super personal and a really lovely gift.
When LucyInTheSky said I was gonna freak she made the biggest understatement of the year! Thank you so very much!
EDIT: oh yeah, she even included some batteries for the clock!

Re: Swap 2015!
You're so welcome!! I'm glad everything made it there safely. I'm also shocked at how quickly that arrived... I mailed it on Saturday afternoon.
And was the google right that the UK uses different sized batteries than the US? I had an "oh sh**" moment a few days ago when it finally occurred to me to wonder about that.

Haha, silly google. We definitely use the same batteries as you, and everywhere else too! But it's fine, I always need AAs!LucyInTheSky wrote:And was the google right that the UK uses different sized batteries than the US? Re: Swap 2015!
Ha, okay. Here's what I read on Wiki. I think it meant that the name was used until 1980 but I read it as AA's were used until the 1980s. I wasn't sure if you were like America where one day you just say "screw it, we're switching to a different standard" and/or America at one point said "oh, the rest of the world uses __ for battery sizes? We will make our own standard!"blackmageheart wrote:Haha, silly google. We definitely use the same batteries as you, and everywhere else too!
