Re: JUNE Challenge - VG Animals & Animal Companions
I looooove the eyes on the Cheep Cheep. I just want to cuddle him forever. And throw him at people. Are you doing the swap? If you are and you get me, can you make me one plllllllease?

Haha! Thanks LucyI looooove the eyes on the Cheep Cheep. I just want to cuddle him forever. And throw him at people. Are you doing the swap? If you are and you get me, can you make me one plllllllease?
He's actually a pretty perfect size for throwing at people - just nicely hand sized. So he's already had that experience a few times in his short existence.
Sadly, no swap for me, but I'm working on writing out the pattern for him and will put it up on my blog when it's done. So, if whoever does get you in the swap happens to crochet they can make you one

I have a thwomp pillow. When my roommate was doing sit-ups/stretches in the living room, it was routinely thrown over the couch at him. With me yelling "womp!"

Haha, we do this too with the Yoshi egg that I crocheted a while ago. It's fun having throwable items lying around.Clarington wrote:He's actually a pretty perfect size for throwing at people - just nicely hand sized. So he's already had that experience a few times in his short existence.

My favourite thing about challenges is using them as an excuse to try out new techniques and mediums. So here is my very first attempt at Tunisian picture crochet: the cow from Harvest Moon.
Obviously I need a lot more practice at colour changing and have a long way to go before I'll be making anything as epic as AuntTink's SMB3 blanket. But hooray for trying something new

I know how you feel... although in my case I got the materials anyway, even though I was pretty sure I wouldn't be able to make it XDicedragonj wrote:Damn, just came up with a good idea, but there is no way I can get the supplies in time, let alone make it. bah!
However, my first entry is almost finished so I'll definitely submit that one! It's just the second one that proved over-ambitious.

Well at least you had time for one entry at least. We can always save our ambitious ideas for later.Aegidia wrote:I know how you feel... although in my case I got the materials anyway, even though I was pretty sure I wouldn't be able to make it XDicedragonj wrote:Damn, just came up with a good idea, but there is no way I can get the supplies in time, let alone make it. bah!

I decided to create a little something on the same theme, but in a different medium. I really enjoyed collecting all the vivillon in X and Y, and all the different patterns are so pretty! Here is the tundra one as a charcoal drawing. I normally do more scenery type stuff when I draw, but I think it came out alright. Anyway, hope you like it.
