I have completed mine; but I am waiting for the brooch backings to arrive. I find buying a job lot from china is cheaper - just it takes a little longer to arrive! I will post a picture of the badges/brooches I made when I have stuck the backing onto them.
Just keep stitching...

(Hi, I'm new here!)

I've got a great idea for this, but it's a bit short notice... Definitely going to try, though!
Also I'd like to say that I love the idea of two-month challenges instead of one-month. I've found in the past that a challenge a month is not enough time for me (... she said, entering the challenge a mere 9 days before it finishes).

I found the pendant at Hobby Lobby (they have them online at plenty of sites) I added a jump ring to both sides after I stitched it and took the leather and folded it in half and make a knot of some sort( I think it's called a overhand knot. I just fed the leather through it) then the clasps are these fold over clasps that you slip the leather through it.

YES I made it before the deadline! I made a Magikarp hat. I've made one before, from this hat pattern: http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEwinter08/PATTfishy.php, and for this one decided to tweak some things. In the end, I think the difference isn't all that great and if I make another one I might as well go for the simpler first version, but I love this one as well!

ETA: for the voting thread, I think the second picture best shows off the hat :)

PS: I omitted the belly fin because there's no real room for it at the back of the neck.

Ahhhh I just finished!! I made all the Pokemon badges from the first game (red, blue, yellow) in 28 count evenweave! I used the tiny stitches so they would look really solid and detailed. I ironed on the sticky material to turn them into badges but I haven't figured out what to put them on yet, maybe a jacket or a purse? I hope they still count un-attatched I just didn't want to rush it!!!
