I was wondering, does it work for you to park your threads? Does it save a lot of thread?
Parking my threads works wonderfully!
I think it saves some thread seeing as you don't need to cut the thread every time you're done with it. You just move it and let it hang there.
It does save a lot of time, though. I don't have to spend my time looking at my chart, searching where the next symbol is on the entire page. 10x10 grids are much easier to handle.
You should give it a go for yourself

Re: Epic Pokemon pattern WIP!!

Just shy of 13 months so far into this.
My Tumblr blog went crazy a few weeks ago, when I did the top left page and could show the full length of the project. @.@ Actually scared me for a couple days to see the number of followers and notes multiply. Most posts get to 20s maybe, and the one from three weeks ago has 457. I even got a message from one user who was asking if they could buy it. I politely turned it down, even when a number was given. One, I don't think it would be right for me to sell something of someone else's design...and two, I've put so much time into this, I doubt I could ever part with it.

I don't mind people reselling the pieces they have done from my patterns - I just object to people reselling the patterns themselves, which is what I tell people on my Etsy page. If figure that selling the finished pieces isn't cost-effective for the amount of time that people put into them, but if they want to sell them they can.CheshireMouse wrote: I even got a message from one user who was asking if they could buy it. Wow, 13 months. That's quite impressive. I've been going for 20 months and I'm only just over halfway!

Re: Epic Pokemon pattern WIP!!
I'm a bit late posting this, haha. But I finished it last month, at exactly 14 months from the start date.

I completely spaced on posting it back then, and the few times I remembered, I was nowhere near my laptop. Right now, it's just hanging from a skirt hanger on my closet door. I have no idea how I'm going to frame this if I do frame it. Even if I do, I think I'll wait until I move (sometime in the next few months, I'm waiting to see how my fiance stands on it). Apparently my WIP pictures on my Tumblr has inspired a couple others to tackle the project themselves, and just yesterday someone asked if they could use the picture for a demonstrative speech assignment on cross stitching.
Told them they could, and mentioned they probably should credit the creator of the pattern as well as I made sure to note such credit myself on that last post.
My next large project is a Sailor Senshi grouping, to be followed by the Van Gogh Exploding Tardis (can't wait!!). Well, once I move. Until then, I've been doing very small projects like the Supernatural anti-possession tattoo atm, a few game sprites from Disgaea, and other little finds over the last few months. I've also got a couple pattern ideas in my head, but struggling a bit to actually create them. >_<

It looks amazing
Would you consider having it professionally framed? For a piece like this it's probably worth spending a little on it.
