Pyper wrote::D Congrats on handing in the thesis :D Its a good/scary feeling when you finally submit them. (Mine was in about 2 months ago)
Thanks :D

The actual sending it was nerve-racking! I typed the mail up with the mouse over the 'send' button. And I started thinking "Maybe I should read it again, just to be sure. No you've read it enough, you're ready. But what if?"

Then I just closed my eyes and pressed 'send' :p

Great progress, guys!!! I'm still wanting to start this...just have to finish some other projects first! :P

As for your thesis...congrats! It's quite the accomplishment! Mine was about 5 years ago...and there are still times I think about it!

I am trying to learn how to park threads instead of continuously changing colors. How do you do it?

I let the strands hang free in the place where the next cross in that color will be (In my case in the upper left corner of the cross). And because I've parked them in the right place, I don't have to spend time looking at the list with all the colors and symbols, I can just look at the chart and start stitching. This is a real time saver

Plus, I just bought some more needles. So I thread the colors that I will be using the next couple of rows. This way you save time because the right strands are threaded

I also work in a grid of 10x10, and then row per row.

I've started parking last week and I'm already working faster.

This is the way I do it, other people may have other (and better) ways of parking

Welcome to the group Lois! To upload an attatchment you just hit the button under the message box thats next to the tab 'options'. From there, select your picture (there's guidelines somewhere around here about the size limits, check that and adjust your picture accordlingly before this point) and then you can put it into the window :)
It's pretty simple once you get used to it!

This is a big project to take on, but your not alone in your journey. I look forward to seeing your progress!

Thanks for the tip :)

I know it's big, but I have a lot of free time this year and I love pokemon + embroidering. But it is nice to see everyone's progress and to keep eachother motivated :)

Yay! Looks good :-)

I was wondering, does it work for you to park your threads? Does it save a lot of thread?
