I have a question, I uh...am not that great at keeping a clean back of the project. Is that going to be an issue? I mean, I will definitely make a conscious effort to keep it clean!

Re: Stitching for Charity 2014
We've been hit with a few unexpected financial hits lately, so I'm going to have to wait a bit before I can get fabric for mine. I know I have some lying around, but have no idea what the count is on them. I've tried measuring one, and it came out 15 squares/inch. So...is that 14 count or 16? lol. Anywho, can't wait to see people's WIPs.

Whew! Was off the computer for the last few days (darn New Leaf! Been constantly playing the 3ds between New Leaf, Monster Hunter, and Etrian Odyssey) so I'm glad I was able to get my games...specially since last year's square is done and I'd already started on my Snow Bros. square.
Here are my squares:
Snow Bros (from the title screen):
And Castlevania II: Simon's Quest: And my finished Q-Bert square is in the Finished Squares thread from last year. lol

You guys are lucky! I worked at a Michaels and never saw any. Nor at Joann's.

Really? My Michael's has it, even though they have greatly condensed their cross stitching supplies. And my Joann's, which has actually expanded their section, has it as well, I believe. The trick is getting it large enough for this, though. Haven't looked at them this year, though.RMDC wrote:You guys are lucky! I worked at a Michaels and never saw any. Nor at Joann's.

I don't buy from them anymore because international crazy shipping, but 123stitch.com is great for finding good ranges of sizes of aida-in physical size and count. You can get it pretty cheap too.
Working on:
Retro X & Y! - lost the pattern and fabric, but it's resurfaced
...and i've lost it again lol
Attempting Diamond Painting
Making like three crochet blankets at once #nolife
slowly amassing floss for the old-style Epic Pokemon

Re: Stitching for Charity 2014
Yeah. I've been in the DC area for the past few years. The chain craft stores around here are pretty sad, but the Michaels I worked at was at least a standalone with a big floorplan. Still, we only had a few tubes of aida on hand, mostly cream 14. There wasn't even a home spot for 16 count.Kareesh wrote:Really? i've ordered from 123 stitch a few times, great service, shipping is a little slow, but i am international so its expected - great prices compared to michaels in town and a huge selection. also, they have cones XD (which i completely forgot to order with my last purchase :S)
