I made a triptych highlighting the heroic mimes of Nintendo: Mario, Samus, and Link. Of course, they've all spoken at one time or another, but back in the day, they uttered nary a word. Pixel art from illustrator Michael Myers at http://www.drawsgood.com
Done with 2 strands on 14 count salt colored aida.
I also have a Gordon Freeman pattern in the same style, but didn't stitch it.
I think I'll redo the Mario one, give him the fire flower colors, change the caption to "Let the Fireball do the talking."
I hesitate making the pattern available because I didn't do the original designs. I say that if you want to do something similar, you can just use in-game sprites--of course, it won't be as wicked as Michael's pixel art. I have plans for Minish Cap Link and Crono with the same caption.

These are excellent! You know, Myers might be happy to give the nod to releasing these patterns if you check with him.

Interesting. Very different. In a good way of coarse.
