I apologize before hand if this is the wrong area for this questions, but for challenges or any other projects posted on this site, are you required to design the pattern yourself? Or, if i have permission of the artist, I can use the graphic of someone else to create a pattern?

I think.....that it would be ok to use a graphic someone else has done.... because that is basically what we do when we use sprites from video games. You would probably need to ask permission from the original artist though. You don't need to design your own patterns, a lot of people either are unable to or have trouble making their own patterns and ask for help in the Pattern Request board.

Excellent, thank you for the speedy reply I am going to email the artist tonight, and if he is kind enough to let me rebirth his artwork in a different form, will defiantely be redirecting him here to see the end result. Thanks again!

D: I know. . . I have two ideas going, but they both seem lame compared to these ones. u.u I'm gonna do them anyhow, because after I figured out what I wanted to do, I fell in love with them. <3
