I recently downloaded KG-Chart and after some trouble instasling it and learning it I thougt I'd make a pattern of Lightning from Final Fantasy XIII, witch I myself have been looking for a long time. I came up with someting that looked pretty good in my eyes, with only 38 col. but since I'm caught in the massive Avengers pattern posted on this forum, (viewtopic.php?f=5&t=7645) it will take som time before I reach Lightning in my To Do pile. However, if anyone want and dare to try it out, I might as well post it insted of sitting on it for ages.
Remember it is my first pattern made in KG-Chart, first pattern made for posting and first pattern larger than 10 by 30 stitches, so I don't realy know this stuff. Please come whit improvment tips etc. but please don't be to critical

Re: Lightnig FFXIII Pattern
If this is your first go, I'm impressed. A LOT better than my first attempt.
I haven't checked the colors, but the pattern does look good. A little cleaning, and it's good to go. Some of the stitches in the pattern are flying solo in the areas that are background. When I look at the pattern in 1x real view, it makes the overall picture look a bit messy. Also I don't know if the two different colors of background was intentional, or if it's KG Chart on new adventures.
A little beginners tip when working on KG Chart (and probably PC Stitch also. Haven't tried it) : Look at the picture in different ways. Different levels of zoom is great, as it gives you both a feeling for how it will look, and detail management. And use Real View too. I've seen errors in real view that I never would have picked up on in pattern mode. But as a first go:
It's damn near perfect.

Re: Lightning FFXIII Pattern
Thanks. When I got time I will sit down and see if I can cleen it up a bit. Thanks for the tip of using the diffrent views. You are right, the background is not suppoesd to be in diffrent coluors, I mean, it dont matter but it is unnessesery. As said, thanks, and I will sit down and learn more for the future and see if I can cleen it a bit, though I too thougt it pretty good.

Re: Lightning FFXIII Pattern
Now when I sit down, I don't want to change to much in the pattern. However I realised that the diffrent backgrounds are necesery so the pic dont blend with the back. I also realised that her right shoulder blended a bit with the background. I tried to fix it whit a skincoloured outlie, however I used a faint tone that was already in that part of the shoulder, so mabye it needs a darker line outside of the outline. However Im happy with the shoulder now, though its not professionaly done. I also thought of chanching her gloves a bit to the more blue/greyish tone shown in the original pic, but realised Im quite happy whit the greenish "shade", so i won't change it after all. There is probably some more things worth a smal change, but my untrained eye can't find any big tings, so I leave it be and takes the feedback to eventual future projects.
