Dr Who Valentine

Post by Aithnemae »

Hello I am absolute rubbish at making patterns but have one in mind that I would love to make for my husband.
Image.

I would want to do the words in black, the fez in red with gold tassel, and the tardis in blue. The only thing is I want the last line to say "and I <3 <3 you!" I would want the hearts standing up and as basic as the other pictures.

I use 14 count aida. and minimal colors maybe 5 or 6. I am probably going to put it in an 8 by 10 frame we have or if it is smaller we have 5 by 7 as well. I know i could probably figure this out myself but it would take embarrassingly long and I don't know if i would get it done in time.

Couple questions before I attempt this.

Did you want the blue as the background?

I know you would like the tardis to be blue, are you talking the whole thing blue or would you like the windows as well?

You didn't say anything about coloring the bow tie, but I want to ask, do you want it colored, or leave it white?

The last line you said you want, did you want that added at the very bottom under the original last line of the valentine or did you want to replace that last line with your own last line?

I am going to do it on white aida I don't want a blue background. I plan on a red bow tie. I want to replace the last line with my new one. Thank you so much for your help!

I had to edit a fair bit for this even with BMH's help on the colors, as many of them ran together and blurred the words and the items. Your pattern is on 14 ct like you asked and is exactly 5 colors. I hope you like it!

this is what I have done so far. My little helper is holding it flat for me. She slows my progress but is excited about making a valentine for daddy.
