I actually own the book (though have apparently lent it out as it is not on my book shelf >.<) but I found it easy enough for you. It's written by Diana Wynne Jones and got a reprint in 2008 thanks to the anime movie. :)

Wow! A lot of my favorites already made it up here!

My Top 5 List
(In no particular order of course)
Mercedes Lackey's Tales of the Five Hundred Kingdoms series
Terry Brooks' Shannara series and Landover series
Diane Duane's Young Wizards series
Neil Gaiman & Terry Pratchett's Good Omens
Michael Crichton's Timeline

Anything by Diana Wynne Jones is great; if you enjoy the Howl books then you should try the Chronicles of Chrestomanci. For the Tamora Pierce fans, have you read the Circle of Magic books? I'm just finishing a reread of the first 4 (Sandry's Book, Tris's Book, Daja's Book, and Briar's Book) right now. Another great series by Orson Scott Card is The Tales of Alvin Maker; sorta historical fiction with a twist. Think colonial America with folk magic and some historical events running a bit differently.

Edited to fix capitalization.

This is a tough one! I've got so many favorites, lol. Let me see... If I had to narrow it down I think it would go a little like this:

1. Mistborn Series - Brandon Sanderson
2. Harry Potter Series - J.K. Rowling
3. The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy - Douglas Adams
4. Ready Player One - Ernest Cline
5. Discworld Series - Terry Pratchett

Honorable mentions: Warbreaker by Sanderson, The Sevenwaters Trilogy by Juliet Marillier, Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden, The Wayfarer Redemption Series by Sara Douglass, American Gods & Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman.

I can't figure out how to quote properly all of a sudden, but thanks for letting me know about the other two books in the Howl's Moving Castle set. Some one else mentioned the Hunger Games, which I also enjoyed... I thought I was the only one who had even heard of Hollow Chocolate Bunnies of the Apocalypse! I'm so happy some one else knows it! Neil Gaiman was well represented through the lists, but my favorite is one that I didn't see mentioned.

"Smoke and Mirrors" Neil Gaiman
"Obsidian Butterfly" Laurell K Hamilton (the first eight of this series were great, the latest 12 in the set not so much, but I keep reading)
"Interview With the Vampire" Anne Rice (I got kicked out of Spanish in 7th grade for reading this... odd huh?)
"Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing" Judy Blume (One of my favorite books for EVER)
there are so many that I love.... and now I can't think of any of them....
"Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal" Christopher Moore.

Oh yay books! Lol. In no particular order (most are just series though...that's like telling a parent to choose their favourite child! lol)

- Harry Potter (has to be on here. goblet of fire is my favourite, although they're all good!)
- Hunger Games (I agree with someone [don't remember who it was, sorry!!] that Catching Fire is probably my fave from the series)
- Soul Screamers series
- Vampire Academy series (including the new Bloodline branch-off)
- Anything by P.C. Cast (House of Night, the Divine series...)

On a side note, I just caught up on the Sookie Stackhouse series. And I must say, this is one instance that I liked the show/movie better than the books! :/ Which is really sad, cause the books definitely had some really good potential. I think it was I just didn't like her writing style, although the first few books were decent, the last few took me a while to get through. And one of them didn't even seem like she wrote it, it was so different! -end rant- haha

Oooh!

I have more favorite series than standalone books! Also it is very hard to narrow it down to just 5! If I am not crafting, I am reading :D

In no particular order.

The Wheel of Time series - Robert Jordan/Brandon Sanderson
Good Omens- Terry Pratchet/Neil Gaiman
Song of Ice and Fire Series(Game of Thrones)- George RR Martin
Many of the Dragonlance novels (my favorite of those is the Dragonlance Legends Trilogy) Margaret Weis/Tracy Hickman
Ender's Game-Orson Scott Card (the first was my favorite by far, though the rest are very good still)

This is hard. my top 5 out of the hundreds I've read...?
1. Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling
2. The WondLa Trilogy by Tony Diterlizzi (can't wait for the third one. I know it's not really a triliogoy yet because the third one isn't out yet, but I know this series is still awesome)
3. The Host by Stephenie Meyer
4. The Thirst series by Christopher Pike (I LOVE this author)
5. The Molly Moon series by Georgia Byng (they're kids books, but they are fabulous!)

And Howl's Moving Castle is an amazing book. I loved it even more than I love the movie = ]
I need to read the sequels though.
Deviantart? Why yes, I do have one! = 3

This is such a hard question to answer! These are in no particular order:

1) Prisoner of Azkaban (I enjoyed the whole series, but I'm doing single titles to be fair.)
2) The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks (yes, I am a woman who owns and has read all of his books multiple times. Romance novels are a guilty pleasure of mine.)
3) James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl (might be my favorite book ever, if I had to pick just one. Holds some very sentimental value for me and it's a great book.)
4) Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins (Again, all 3 are great books.)
5) Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card (I really need to read the rest of the series as this is the only one I've read.)

Notable mentions: Anything else by Nicholas Sparks and Roald Dahl; the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind, anything by Dan Brown, the Matched trilogy by Ally Condie (third book isn't out, yet, but I'm sure I'll love it.), and the Gone series by Michael Grant (the 6th and final book is supposed to come out April 2013).

Matched and Gone are "teen fiction," but both are sort of children dealing with a dystopian world sort of thing and I really enjoy books like that for some odd reason.
