Cross Stitch Handbags

Post by Eliste »

Apparently, Dolce & Gabbana have a whole range of cross stitched handbags this fall. Expensive, but pretty.

EEK :D

Pretty, and pretty expensive. I do like though.
Maybe I'll get me one of those Riolis (I think it's Riolis anyway) kits for a cross stitched handbag / evening bag instead! Much cheaper! ^^

;p I would hope so with them charging almost $1800 for it!

Lol, my fiance looked over and saw it "Wow babe, you are in the wrong business... you should just stop working with numbers and start making purses." ^_~

You guys have me super curious now about these Riolis kits! I am always super envious of the UK range of cross stitching things to be had!

Riolis are Russian, I think.

I used to see a lot of the bag kits on Ebay and Amazon - mostly floral but quite pretty! Ooh, there was a one with butterflies that was quite nice...let me see if I can find it somewhere.

Oh, here: http://www.thehappycross-stitcher.com/s ... mit=Search

...Might have to get that butterflies one. ^^

Oooooooooooooooh. The most I have been able to find at the local craft stores are eyeglass/pencil cases that could probably double as make-up cases and great big canvas sling bags. Although....Pixelpockets has some wicked-cool geeky clutch-like purses on her DA/Etsy. I am sure it is not that much of a jump to go pretty.

I am in awe. $1800? I am in the WRONG business! ^_^ Although I have to admit my cross stitch skills are kinda rough still.

But that purse is beautiful!

...if you got the bag you would also HAVE to get the matching shoes.
And no, there's no guarantee it was done by hand - it's just a VERY expensive brand.
