The frame is a POS and I broke one trying to make it work... so for the photo I just laid the frame over the fabric. I've got to find a way to hold it in place so I can hang it now.
that is soooo cute!
I really like the extra depth that it has from just laying the frame over it.
You know that point when you have gotten to the point of no return in a project and have realized that you have royally screwed it up? Yeah. I wanted to bang my head against the wall last night. I measured everything but apparently calculated wrong. My double size quilt became a king size quilt when I started assembling.
So I went to the quilt store this morning and bought more fabric. After working on it all day I am almost to the point where I was when I discovered my screw up. We always learn something new with every project don't we? I learned to check my math again, even if it is math from months ago that I swore was right.

Yeah, I'm with ya there. I'm also a quilter and tend to design most of my patterns and then make them later. So when I go back to actually start them, I force myself to fully recalculate everything without looking. And the 1/4 of the time where it doesn't match up, then I get to figure out that error ahead of time. Since you make that mistake once and you learn not to do it.

Ha. Yeah, I work at a quilt shop and some days one of the other gals will be helping a customer, finds out it's a math question, and they call me over. We all have our strengths
It's not that I can't do math or am bad at it, I just like acting on intuition ;)
I am the type of crafter who often cuts twice after only measuring once... so yeah, I usually buy extra ;) Anyhow I am sure the kirby quilt, whatever size it ends up being, will be extra cute.
