"I Freaking love books!" pattern

Post by kuja.girl »

Ok so it's not perfect but you'll be able to make something very similar to what I ended up with.
I couldn't include the lettering because I used a licensed font from PCStitch - sorry! The exclamation marks were all me though so you can use those ;)

I'm not uploading the PCStitch files because it would be a mess and a potential copyright violation because even with the text removed from the files it gives warning messages. PM me if you really NEED them.

Credits:
  • Bookstack and mage were modified from sprites from the NIS game Phantom Brave.
  • Bookcase background is from Zombies Ate my Neighbors
  • font - out of PC Stitch, not included in the pattern, sorry!
  • Speech Bubble - custom made my moi
All source images pulled from Spriter's Resource which rocks my socks.

Ahahahaha! This is totally me!

I work in a bookshop and own enough books in my room to start my own library (ok, slight exaggeration, but not by much).

I love your directions - definitely in my to-do pile, probably for Ixmas this year! :D

Do you love all of the "disclaimers" too? XD I feel really bad about putting up a pattern that's so incomplete but I honestly didn't expect to win much less have people say that they wanted to make one themselves.

@Ishtar - my mother used to call my book collection my "memorial library" but sadly it is much reduced now because I sold almost everything so I could move across country to pursue a MS in Library and Info Sciences. The irony of this never escapes me...

But the disclaimers made it feel like a personal letter. :P I like it when there's something in a guide which establishes rapport or allows the reader to get into the thought processes of the author.

lol... Ahhhh so sad to give away/sell books.

Was a horror when we had to throw 100 odd books out from work.... Ripping covers off and all... We felt so dirty that day
