Ghibli clock!

Post by Sheetaaa »

Hi!

I've recently bought this clock:

I just wanted the mecanism, because I'm willing to make a Ghibli pattern instead of the one inside the kit. Now I've started to make my own pattern on KGChart, but I don't find it very pleasant!

My problem is that it feels like a superposition of little drawings, and not a nice pattern! Plus I'd want to have some little squares left at the four sides of it (12 o'clock, 3, 6 and 9) to stitch little features, not actual numbers because I won't have enough room for this!

SOOOO... here is my pattern. Do you find it as strange as I do? Do you have any advice? :D

Thanks!

You're right, it does just feel like a lot of little pictures put together. You could try making a lot more Ghibli sprites and cram them all together like my Epic Pokemon pattern, or you could try piling a load of resized Ghibli film screen-shot to make a pattern.

For the squares you want, you could make a simple border and incorporate the blank squares into the border.

Hope this helps!

I've changed some things and added the numbers! I think this will be my final pattern bacause I don't think it's as strange as the first one!

Feel free to change some other things if others want to try it too!
