My Little Pony request

Hi. For my friends Christmas present I wanted to stitch her some MLPs because she loves them. I've spent almost all day trying to make a working pattern but it just isn't working for me :/
I want this:

Except with the ponies being coloured like these:

(With the rainbow one being the red one)
Ideally it would be about 8x10 max (on 14ct)

I'm guessing at that size the outlines might be easier to backstitch but I'm not sure..
Any help would be massively appreciated!

Should be about 10x7", and it has 8 colours.

I've been making a few patterns similar to this one, so I thought I would try it as well. About an hour's work gave me this:

It has 9 colors and is 10" wide by 6.714" tall on 14 count fabric, without any extra fabric around the edge.

I bought all the floss online, and you guys are definitely right about how off some of the colours are in KG chart.
I bought the colours from the first pattern, but I'll almost definitely use nintandrew's.
I'll go into my local craft store and pick up the colours that are /too/ off,
I shall definitely post photos when I'm done!

I put the KG file as well as a color and b/w PDF pattern.

I checked out the colors for Rainbow Dash against the ones I have and they seem to be pretty accurate to me. I would just check the blues to be sure if they are not to your liking. Enjoy!
