Mmmm Oh I so hear that!

I'm making a beard-on-a-stick for when TNG Season 1 comes out on Blu-Ray. No way am I suffering Beardless Riker in HD! (And I have the taster BD, so I already know what it looks like!)

Lol, I'm not THAT picky, but I don't think I ever saw him without the beard. Or, if I have, then I've blocked it out!

Oh man, I just laughed so hard at this! Beard-on-a-stick. That's awesome! Yeah, beardless Riker was bad. And he was too skinny. I think he lost a lot of weight for his new show and it sort of "crept" back on. I like him with more meat on his bones. Those first season uniforms didn't help either. They had no structure. I think they were Spandex.

There were so many odd things about the first season. I thought the lack of collar on the uniforms just didn't look right, I have no clue who was doing Counsellor Trois' hair (or why she was dressed like an intergalactic cheerleader for the first few episodes) and makeup but it was damn weird, and Riker just doesn't look right at all without some face fuzz! And a lot of them were way skinnier then. Picard, Worf and Geordi all look vaguely under-fed too. And I hated Tasha Yar also!

True! They get better later, with the exception of Beverly Crusher, who consistently gets thinner right through to the TNG movies, to the point that I feel like she looks ill. Whenever I see her I want to go make me a stack of sammiches!

I also wasn't keen on Tasha Yar, they were obviously trying for a sort of masculine-ish / "strong" woman but I'm not sure it really worked.

Also...who picked those awful, awful sweaters for Wesley Crusher? They are truly hideous and I hope they have since been disposed of in fire.

Yes again! I can't believe I actually had a crush on him at the time. I met Wil Wheaton at ComicCon 2001 in San Diego. I told him that I used to have a crush on him, and he got kinda giddy, and then I said, "Yeah, I used to." I had no idea when I left that morning that I would be insulting Wil Wheaton. I didn't even mean to! It just came out wrong.

Okay, are we going to discuss Worf's bob hairdo in the first seasons??? The short do was terrible, and the longer bob wasn't much better. It didn't look good until it grew out long and kinky, like a real Klingon.

Yes, let's talk about the bob. Whose idea was that? I HATE THE BOB. I'm watching season 5 right now and every time Worf is on screen I make a kinda face. (Also, whoever had the failbob idea needs a double slap for inflicting it on Alexander too.)

So much Season 1 Riker hate D: I didn't mind him without his beard but it was very weird seeing him like that when we started watching it since I never knew he was ever beardless in the show. Anyway onto my list~
