What, you mean it's not obvious? IT'S THE FIRST 251 POKEMON!
17 colors, in order, 1-251. I picked what seemed like the "primary" type for all dual-type critters (at least, the way I conceptualize them).

Mine is not nearly as clever, but I'm giving it to my hubby as a thank you. I call it "The Kiss" and it is a shot of Peach laying one on Mario. I'm getting my supplies for my odd shaped portion this week, so I'll have my other entry later. Enjoy!

My pieces for the 8x32 stitch challenge and the odd shape skinned differently challege are done! Here they are:

This is my 8x32 piece. It is the Master Sword from Zelda, with a background in green to resemble Links stater tunic.

This is my odd shape piece. It is the Goomba boot, skinned in Tetris pieces.

jadely - "The Kiss" is a really cool concept; you fit a lot of picture into a little space!
SofaraStarfyre - Both your pieces are extremely awesome! Nice backstitching on the Master Sword - I hypothesize that this challenge will produce a lot of backstitching
- and now I want a pair of Tetris Kuribo's Shoes, because they'll go with everything I wear.

Thank you RMDC! I know backstitching can be a real pain but I don't mind it. I like the "finished look it tends to give. Your pokemon piece is cool too. If you hadn't have said what it was, I wouldn't have guessed lol.
Jadely, your "the kiss" is totally awesome!

Gah! Got halfway through my one-thing-in-the-shape-of-another entry before I decided the colours weren't working. I was trying to use the colours I had on hand...
In general I find my designs come together fairly easily, but finding the right colours gives me a headache - on account of being partially colourblind!
Can't use that excuse here though, the offending colours were grey!
I had to order some more floss for my 32x8 entry anyway (and that involves actual colours, so we'll see how well that goes...)
I'm just annoyed because I wanted to get one of them done over the weekend!
This whole competition thing is very motivating... I like it :-)
