Pug cross stitch pattern help!

Hi there! You guys have been a huge help so far, and I need a little help again. I tried to do this one on my own with KG chart, but I can't seem to get it right.



I would really like a pattern for this for around 6 inches, around 10-15 colors and the background gone. The background is what I am having trouble with... If anyone could help me out, I'd really appreciate it!

Here is my work on your image ; it's 119 * 99 stitches and 10 colours ; is it not too big ? but i didn't quite understand what you wanted to do about the background...

I made another one smaller : it's only 69 * 57 stitches
