Baby Shower Pattern

Post by Philpepe »

Ok, I have been looking and looking, and have tried to come up with an idea on my own and so far I have gotten myself nowhere! A lady that I work with is having a baby in January and we are having a baby shower for her here at work on November 30th. I really want to stitch something for her, but like I said, I am having the hardest time coming up with a pattern. She doesn't have a theme or anything for the baby's room yet, but I do know it's a girl. Also, she is a huge fan of Auburn Football. Anybody here have any ideas?
Current Projects: Crocheting stuff, writing letters, cross stitching stuff oh, and making beer!

You could be subversive, like me, and give the little girl gifts - girls love dinosaurs too! I've never out grown them ;)

I've been dying to do this for someone but don't know any pregnant people >.< I don't know if you'd have time to get it done though...
Spoiler
(Forgive the crookedness, it's hard to scan that book XD)

You could always make it girlier by making the border pink or purple.

Wow, that is kinda big, but I kind of like it... maybe we should just give her the blanket my wife is making at the shower, and I can stitch something bigger like that and give it to her after the baby is born since it's supposed to have the baby's birthday and weight on it too.

Could you send me that pattern?

It would be interesting to get the pattern for the picture. It is interesting it has a lot of different things on it. It would be nice if anyone else could share some patterns for a baby gift. I have a invitation to a baby shower for November 25. I got the invitation yesterday. I might go buy some things for the baby shower. I don't think I have time to make anything.

I left them pretty big because I didn't want to royally mess them up resizing them ^^;; and I know they get a little blurry at the spine so if you need any sections rescanned let me know!

(Pattern is from the book Donna Kooler's 555 Cross-Stitch Motifs)

::edit:: They're rather large images so I don't want to attach them here and lag everyone's computers and photobucket will auto resize them, so if anyone wants the pattern PM me your e-mail and I'd be happy to pass it along!

While I am personally not a baby person at all, I love stitching baby items... its a problem =p

I have 2 pattern books that might be helpful, one is an alphabet book, when they have the cutest fairytale set... I made a nameplate for a little girl with it and it didn't take too long to stitch up. ---> viewtopic.php?f=11&t=4452

I also have a book with a ton of baby bibs in it, http://www.amazon.com/Baby-Bibs-Cross-S ... 1601400810

Have you thought of making felt booties with a little motif stitched on them? I only suggest it because I saw a pattern for something like that in a cross stitch magazine I brought home yesterday.
