Everytime we go to town I yell "HOBBY LOBBBYYY!!!!" and my fiance goes "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"
lol! For my birthday last year my fiance took me to the craft store ;p
I am so excited, they just opened a Hobby Lobby in Southern California, which I think is the first one on the west coast. =D I just need to find time to drive out to it.
Back to the swap gifts, they are all so awesome! I love those little stitching kits, I want to make myself one so badly now hehe
Working on: Mini-Swap, Chocobo chart, Mega Man piece Sewing - 3 different Disappearing 9-Patch quilts http://celes887.deviantart.com/
I'll volunteer to make more gifts as well. It's just been so much fun participating in the swap, it would be nice to make sure no one misses out on that feeling when you receive a gift
That reminds me, is there anyone that's participating that we haven't heard anything from yet?

(I wanted to do more, but haven't had time. Work and school full time and my wedding coming up in like 5 months but still have so much to do )
LIMH - I got the button kits from JoAnn. This is what I used for the buttons, and then just hot glued these to the back. I'm not sure of their staying power - those three were the first ones I've made.
How did you get your stitching to fit to the button so perfectly? Did you use one of those button-making thingies? :O
It was a lot of sizing then resizing. I think I stitched about two of them before I found the dimensions that fit right. Even so, the cape Mario I think should be a bit smaller, but then the sprite wouldn't have looked right. :/
How did you get it to stick to the button just right? :O
I got my swap gifties today!!! My partner was the wonderful katdun and here's what she made me:

A keychain of the Sprite Stitch logo and on the back is my username in gold metallic thread.

A Legend of Zelda inspired hussif! Complete with supplies! I think I like the pencil/fabric marker space the best...that master sword is really pretty!
Thanks to the people who've already volunteered to make extra gifts - I've been in touch with everyone and I'm only waiting on a couple of replies, I don't think we'll have to make extra gifts but you never know what happens once you set those parcels loose! So stand by!
