Those Mario buttons are SUPER cute! Where do people find things to make buttons that size?!

Re: SEPT/OCT Mini Swap - 45 entered!
Today was a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. I had lots of school work and no time to do it, and then I found out my skirt was ripped all day. Sigh.
Then, I come home to find a package from the UK.
What could it be?
Could it be my SWAP GIFT?!?!
It was my present from blackmageheart!!!

A beautiful card, a magic bean poly clay necklace, a bag with the Kokiri Emerald, Goron Ruby, and Zora Sapphire stitched in metallic(!) thread, and a WOODEN(!!!) sign with my username cross-stitched in Hylian (if I'm not mistaken)! There's even little tufts of grass and a poly clay bug on the base!!! I'm totally going to put this on display at my UltimaCon booth next year!
BMH, thank you so, so much. I nearly cried.
This brightened my day like you couldn't even imagine.

Yes, yes I am. It started out a lot smaller but the original wooden sign smashed and I didn't have any more of that stuff, so I improvised! What can I say?RAWRmonster wrote:Also,BMH is terrible at following her own rules.blackmageheart wrote:Glad everyone's feeling good about the swap! I nearly cried when I read this! I'm so happy you like everything. I would be honoured if you displayed it at your booth. And yes, that says RAWRmonster in Hylian!RAWRmonster wrote:BMH, thank you so, so much. I nearly cried. This brightened my day like you couldn't even imagine.

AHHH I'm so glad you like your gifts, about22over7.
I was worried after seeing everyone elses awesome (mostly larger) gifts that mine was kind of small. (I wanted to do more, but haven't had time. Work and school full time and my wedding coming up in like 5 months
but still have so much to do
)
LIMH - I got the button kits from JoAnn. This is what I used for the buttons, and then just hot glued these to the back. I'm not sure of their staying power - those three were the first ones I've made.

See, I have some of those pin thingies that I usually just sew to a "blank" piece of plastic canvas and then sandwich them together. It just seems like the button things make it more finished. I may have to try your method and see if it works for me. Thanks for the info!
