Re: Where do you get your supplies?
I feel terrible now haha! I buy my Anchor threads from my Local Walmart for $0.20 for a skien already on a bobbin too! (I live in Canada!).
Does anyone else know any sites (besides ebay) that carry anchor floss in Canada? Only Canadian ones I can find either have no Anchor or are selling them at $0.60-$0.75 each (and when only having to pay $0.20 each for years is a big jump!)

I realize this thread is a little old, but does anyone still purchase form this site? When I check either fabrics or threads, there seems to be nothing in stock? Buttons and Accessories also show up empty.DMLC wrote:They carry 18 Count black fabric here. Its in Canada tho...

I get my supplies from Michael's and a little stitching store here in town: Because You Count. And some random things I might need I get at wal mart because it's cheaper.

I absolutely ADORE NordicNeedle.com for accessories (frames etc). There are so many little, bitty, tiny things that they have that make my life easier when I stitch. I think my favourite recent find on there were these pendants. They're meant to frame cross stitch and make the CUTEST necklaces. I tucked a one-up mushroom into one for a friend.

I normally go to Michaels, since it's right by my house, but thanks to those of you who recommended JoAnn's! I would have never thought to go there.
Current Project(s): How much time do you have? LOL

Re: Where do you get your supplies?
If things go much worse here in my town, I may have to go to buying my thread online. Wal-Mart got rid of *all* their cross stitching supplies, Jo-Ann's cross stitch section is alway waaaaay jumbled and crappy looking, and now Michael's cross stitching section has gotten smaller, thanks to the yarn section. >.<
Maybe I need to get more people involved in cross stitching around here.....

I'm lucky, not too far from where I am we have a place called Mary Maxim which carries a lot of cross stitching supplies and you can even buy your fabric by the yard. Every time I go in there, I tend to find what I am looking for.

Re: Where do you get your supplies?
Having become very frustrated with the two Michael's I can get to (North Van and south Burnaby), I went looking for other locations.
A friend of mine recommended http://www.everythingcrossstitch.com/
They ship to Canada (at VERY reasonable costs for int'l packages) and with the dollar being so close to par across the border, paying 0.49 USD online isn't any different from paying 0.49 CAD locally. They also take paypal.
