Welcome to the Warp Zone!

Post by Arbalest »

So! Perler beads! Wonerful things, these. Only problem is, since I'm such a n00b, I run into warping problems! Nothing too major, a few just seem to curve inwardly like a lens. It makes me apprehensive though, if I can't keep little sprites from warping, then what happens when I try and do bigger projects? Rolls of parchment I fear! D:

Before my sprites cool completely, I smash them between two heavy books for a while, but to no avail!

How do you all prevent warping? o.o

I think most people do what you're doing and use heavy books. I always find it's best to let them completely cool before removing the weights.

If i'm doing a bigger project I iron it in sections and book it as I go and wait for it to cool before moving on to another section, but that's just me :D

This is funny... these are exactly the same as HAMA beads which I used a lot as a kid in the 90s. I used a peg board for my HAMA bead projects and they never curled. If they do, ironing the other side a little should even it out.
Fish, fish, my only wish!
