Anyway, after we walked back to the car and then back again we had a pretty nice night even though we watched our beloved Colts lose to the Saints! It was my hubby's first NFL game. We were 14 rows from the field right behind the endzone.

I put in img tags so you can see it.QueenBex wrote:I can't see that photo...
It was actually really fun! I've been to see the Colts before, although not in the new stadium, when I was a kid (my grandpa used to have season tickets). The stands were quite filled and we got pretty loud (a little girl behind us complained it was too loud when we were all cheering lol). There was no grass smell as we use artificial turf. The roof was closed since the weather has been non-stop rain here lately. There were many, many good smells though! Took a lot of willpower to not spend more than $20 on food and drink while there. Took me forever to find a bathroom so I wandered the "food court" area and there was everything from pizza, stir fry, bratwursts, roasted nuts, nachos, steak sandwiches, ice cream, as well as the normal beer, soda, hamburgers, and hot dogs. When they were on our end of the field we could almost see their faces (well we could but not details). When they were on the other end of the field we shifted our gaze to the large screen so we could see what was going on. A boy a couple of rows ahead of us caught a wayward football. The atmosphere is amazeballs, I will say.QueenBex wrote:Whats it like? To be right there! Near the endzone! I bet it was loud! Were you able to see the game alright? What could you smell? Was it all grass and mud or was it the food and drink around you? I heard my Chicago Bears were doing alright in the preseason. I'm gonna make sure to actually watch as much as I can this year after most of last years games (i had it recorded) got deletedluckily I got to watch a Bears match and the Superbowl. I've missed it a lot. Shame we only get it overnight once a week during the season...
There is other football besides college??RMDC wrote:I've never been to a "real" professional sports game, only college* and minor league teams - it sounds fun, if aggravating to get inside!
* I say "only" college, like I didn't come from the SEC where college ball is waaaay more important than pro ball.
Well, I dunno about "Roll Tide", but there's one cry we can all rally behind: GO TO HELL LSUsadiestitches08 wrote:ROLL TIDE
