Thanks everyone!

I always get to a stage when making something for someone else when I get nervous that the piece is in fact coming out the wrong size. It usually just ends up looking that way because of the sides rolling in on themselves, but I can't help it. I really want to get it finished sooner, just so I can know that it is the right size. haha

(Also I want to get it done soon so I can make my science officer one for myself. hehe)

A quick little update picture of the back. I'm at 86 rows, which means that I am almost halfway to the armholes. Hurray! :D
(Even though it doesn't look like that much since the top portion is rolling itself down, haha.)

Woohoo! I am at the armhole shaping. Not too much longer and I'll be able to start working on the sleeves!

Thanks! :D The sleeves will be red with black at the shoulders. Even though there's no rib on the original, I'm adding a small rib to prevent the ends from rolling.

I finished the back and joined the shoulders to the front what feels like ages ago, but I still haven't gotten around to taking a photo. I should have time to take one either today or tomorrow. I've also started my first sleeve and I'm about 70 rows in. Not sure if you guys want to see pictures of a bunch of plain red knitting though. :P

Alrighty, here is the back of the jumper. The sides wouldn't sit still for the picture, but once their sewn up I can get proper pictures.

Also, if you're interested, here is that little bit of sleeve from yesterday. As of right now, it's about 15% longer than it was at the time this picture was taken.

Looking very cute!
I hate it when things roll because I've been using stockinet stitch...but the finished look is worth it!
