i feel awkward bringing my cross stitches in public. . . .when i served jury duty a couple of weeks ago, i left my cross stitch projects at home and brought a book instead (babbitt by sinclair lewis). looking back, I could have gotten alot done on my projects, but I would have been literally the only person who brought in something other than a smart phone or book to jury duty. Seeing as how most of the people brought in that week were from my part of the county, I was kinda surprised that no one else brought in knitting, crochet or other "creative" projects. . .I guess just hate having to explaining to strangers what my current wip is about. . .Knittenkitten wrote:I'm the same way. I cannot sit still without having something in my hands. I'll bring whatever small project I can carry with me to school, to relative's houses, the doctor's office, even when I go out shopping because you never know!

With the way the country is these days...I'd be surprised if you could enter a courthouse with a needle or scissors. When I showed up for jury duty "auditions" they took my old timey skeleton key off my keychain and I didn't get it back. :\Truut wrote:i feel awkward bringing my cross stitches in public. . . .when i served jury duty a couple of weeks ago, i left my cross stitch projects at home and brought a book instead (babbitt by sinclair lewis). looking back, I could have gotten alot done on my projects, but I would have been literally the only person who brought in something other than a smart phone or book to jury duty.
