The bf is going to get the XBone but I love my PS3. I got one of the first gens which were backwards compatible. Seeing as I happen to like the PS2 and PS1 games better than most of the newer ones I've decided to stick with it. Plus I spend most of my time sewing and that eats up any time I would have to play games.

With all the new games for the 3DS I think that will end up eating my time... though I might be swayed into getting a PS4 when they get a little cheaper.

I work at JB HiFi in Aus where we sell games and consoles and a recent games conference gave us an opportunity to see the new consoles first hand.
Both are really great but now that XBone has blu-ray I would steer towards that one. However the fact that neither are backwards compatible means I will hold off until they bring out some titles I can't live without before committing since I already have a PS3, X360, Wii, DS Lite and 3DS XL so I'm not fussed on waiting!

I only just got my PS3! So still have plenty of things to play through on that one. The next console I will get is a 3DS for the release of pokemon X and Y

OhMyFrackingGod you work at a JB Hifi? Could not be more jealous if I tried, thatissodamncool! Though I'd imagine if I worked at one I'd always be taking my pay in goods, never any cash!

I am a Nintendo girl so Wii U . However I have plenty games that I want to play, I'm still buying GameCube and N64 games . So next gen can wait...

Since my boyfriend is a retrogaming lover, I usually play snes, megadrive, ps1 and ps2 He has them all

I don't have enough time for gaming. My Xbox has more dust on it than the top of the fridge. Besides, the only reason I got an xbox (the "newest" system before that was my N64(!)) was because the week my dad retired he bought one. I got tired of the same scenario playing out every other night:
Me: "Hey dad, can I use the Xbox later?"
Dad: "But I've almost gotten through All Ghillied Up!"
Me: "But you've already played that level. Twice."
Dad: "So? My console. My Rules."
The fact I was begging to a (then) 65 year old grandpa was a little backwards too. . .Then again this is the same guy who installed DOOM on an off the network computer in the basement of Phillip Morris yet would still be the first tech to a machine issue that was down the hall from the rest of the techs in the shop. . .Gamer for life.

If the husband forces us to get new consoles, I choose xbox. I like their controllers better! Best reason ever!

I used to love xbox 360 but earlier this week our latest one died a horrible death. That one was our 3rd I believe. So we gathered together our library of close to 100 games and traded them in for a ps3. I'm not happy with the idea of hunting for all the titles we lost but haven't had any issues with sony products like we have with the microsoft brand (other than someone else is using my regular gamer id *sigh*). So I'm more inclined to get a ps4 or just build a gaming computer instead of getting what my husband says is a 'xbox none'.
