People selling free patterns

Are you ok with finished products made from the free patterns being sold? I definitely don't sell any of the free patterns, but I do have a finished "Bitter Luigi" up that I will gladly take down if I need to!

I have said this is ok. I have no problems with people selling stitches, just not the patterns!

This person is selling some 'Game of Thrones' patterns that were made on here, I'm pretty sure that these are the only ones. The first I'm positive was on here (it was made by tinkerbarb), the second, it might just be eerily similar to one made on here

I noticed it before but wasn't sure what to do about it.

I have emailed for removal.

The second one is as you said "eerily similar", though it appears to be different enough to me to be ok, though I don't like it. Its at least got different spacing, rearranged pieces, different sized wolf, different font. It seems to be "inspired by" instead of a copy.

keep em coming, I'll send violation of creative commons license emails all day if I have to. Since I got angry yesterday I have had four different shops remove patterns that they were selling.

If you have made patterns you should check Etsy and Ebay maybe once a month and look for people trying to profit off your work.

well, we got that one wrong. that pattern was made by capes and crafts.

Oops...apologies for that, my bad! I saw that store advertised ages after that pattern was posted and assumed it had been ripped.
And bummer! I had fun thinking I was bringing down some sort of pattern stealing ring! I will keep an eye out in the future, though.

This makes me sad. I'm sorry you got called names Johloh but you were justified in asking her to take it down!
Most of my PDFs have "made by kuja.girl" and a Creative Commons license printed all over them so if they nab one of those they would have to go to a lot of trouble to modify them.

I would say most, if not all of us, have no issue with someone selling a finished pieced based on a pattern that was posted here but reselling something that is free is just underhanded and dirty.
