Is it just me or...
Is everything thats awesome about cross stitch from Europe. Does anything cool to do with cross stitch happen here in the states?
I live on the Tennessee Kentucky line in Central Tennessee but whenever i google for cross stitch stuff half the stores I call are already out of business or they are t-shirt printing or custom embroidery places.

It's the same in Australia! I get most of my patterns from here, but if I want a kit I'm limited to cats or native birds! This website has some great kits for sale though, and they're based in the States. The patterns are all done by the guy who wrote the Twisted Stitches book.

I have always found that I am unable to get products like tools and such in the UK as they only sell them in the USA

I'll be honest, having lived in Europe and the US, the US is way better in terms of availability. If its not in stor, it's easily got via the web without huge shipping costs. There's tons of places I would love to order from while here in Europe, but either they won't ship to me, or if I do, the customs tax on it is pretty cost-prohibitive.

I will admit I dont have trouble finding any tools of the trade but when it comes to patterns and magazines all the awesome ones seem to come from Europe.Eliste wrote:I'll be honest, having lived in Europe and the US, the US is way better in terms of availability. I assumed with all the awesome patterns etc coming from there that it would have been easier to find stuff for cross stitch not harder.

I had no idea that Stoney Creek even made a magazine. I will definitely check those out. Thank you.
