We call it "big swap" because it's not the "mini swap". The mini swap is where you're supposed to do mini or small items. In the big swap, you can do anything of any size! :D

So if you want to do something big, go for it!

My swap project is driving me crazy. Too much yellow! :help:
And I'm not sure how it's going to turn out...trying something I've never done or even seen done before. Hope my partner will enjoy it!

Hi!

It's my first swap... So, I thought on doing something new, but them I'm not a very creative and patient person :sorry: and I decided to make something that i know...

I've already made everything that I've planned to ( 1 very small, 1 small and 1 medium) :secret ! My boyfriend tried to "steal" the things for him, but he likes almost everything I do. I hope the swapie like it too. i 'm quite nervous/anxious about it! :banghead:
I haven't send it yet because I'm looking for new ideas... Hope they come!

And would like to know what is big, medium and small for you guys? Give examples if possible :P

Good crafts for all

Hope you get some ideas - there is still lots of time to make things :D

This is the stuff I made for the last big swap:

The picture in the middle is what I'd call big (it was a lot of stitches), the Kirby and bag medium (because they weren't hard to make), the snowstorm small (not much to it). Does that help? :D

Well, that's huge for me  :swoon:

But the problem is that i can't make anything much heavier!

I said in the survey that i can ship internationally! Well, yes sort of! I've never expected that my swapie will be in the other side of the ocean! And i discovered that im my country the shipping for other continent is a totally rip off... So I've established a weight, so i don't turn poorest! Now I know, i've to think in something huge and light. CHALLENGE ACCEPTED! :good:

But I'm very happy with the swapie I get, its perfect for me, we have more in common that the survey tells... facebook the stalker's weapon!

Happy crafts!!!

I had the same problem! My swapee also lives on the other side of the planet and the postal fees are... a lot! My gifts are going to have to be pretty light!

Good luck to you folks on that (it was one of my concerns when entering but ended up being a non-issue)! I kept mulling over the survey since I had so many ideas straight off. I've managed to whittle it down to 5 things, 2 of which I haven't tried out before (but should be fun). Now it's a matter of waiting for a couple of supplies to come in....meanwhile I can work on the other 3. They are all relatively simple patterns but add up to the bigger theme. I sure hope my swappie likes. This is too much fun! :nod

Ho, I'm quite almost like you BoomChocoBoom !
2 or 3 things never tried before (stress), a few supplies I'm still waiting for...
I've finished one item (medium one) ! (out of 4 or 5... and I'll say I have at least 2 medium, and 2 or 3 little things)...
You all seem a bit nervous about how your swappies will appreciate your work... don't worry !!! If you make it with all your heart, don't bother yourself with how many items you have, or how big they are...

I am torn between two different quilts. I know I am going to make both of them eventually, it is just I don't know which one my swap partner would like more. Hmmmm. Too bad I can't just take a census or my person would figure out it is them.

@caslzelda - I sent that package in my picture from the UK to USA. It cost me £16 back then! It was pretty heavy, though.
I think setting yourself a weight limit is a good idea, saves money and packaging!

@tnitnetny - Flip a coin? :grin:

If anyone really struggles with international shipping fees, I might be able to help them with either a) advice or b) money. As long as it isn't too expensive! :D

Having seen pictures of your quilts, I am confident that no matter which you make your partner they will love and treasure it! :nod
I think so, Brain, but can the gummi worms really live in peace with the marshmallow chicks?
I think so, Brain, but if they called them "sad meals" nobody would buy them.
