I'm in Maryland. I get my perler beads (mini hamas) from http://www.koolstuff4kids.com/. I think the problem is we call them perler beads in the states. So when you search for mini hama beads you always get the ones in the other countries.
If you have a Joann Fabrics near you, they also stock them.
