Pokeballs and... Casino Kid?

Post by Sardonyx »

After stumbling on to the Sprite Stitch blog a long time ago, I finally decided to take up cross stitch! I then procrastinated far too long in taking pictures to share my recent projects with this lovely forum, so without further ado:

a set of Pokeball magnets (also a littlemojo pattern)

and finally the introduction image to Casino Kid on the NES. This was the perfect excuse to try doing something on some 28 count I had around.

How are you pokeball magnets finished? They look like they are in bottle caps.

Whoa, I love the Casino Kid stitching! It reminds me of neon sign montages from old movies. I never knew about that game, but it looks like a lot of fun!

I would also like to know this! I have lots of tiny pattern ideas and love the way these are finished.

Thanks all, and I made the bezels myself out of nickel silver (go go gadget jeweler!). they're about 1.5" in diameter and something like 6 mm deep. It almost was too deep for what I needed and I wound up using a lot more resin to fill it than I expected, but they turned out well.

Ah bezels! I make jewelry too and I'm not sure why I didn't think of that. I'll have to check out Rio Grande and see if any of their pre-made bezels are the size I need since I don't have access to studio anymore.
