SEPT/OCT - Mini Swap 2013

I got my lovely package from Arkani. It contained a beautiful handmade book with a needle-punched Sims plumbbob on the front and a lovely letter detailing the antics of her cat on catnip. My daughter also loved the book. She loved feeling the plumb bob on the front. Thank you so much!

I got my gift today from willowtastic. Thank you, Elle. I love everything very much. I got a framed chibi-Gambit, very pretty borderlands vault symbol, skyrim dragonborn magnet, 3 lovely postcards, and a very nice note. Thank you again, Elle. You made my day. Hopefully everyone can see the pic ok. It's dark in my apartment today.

I'm so glad you like it! Like I said earlier in the thread, I've never played any of the games, so I kept going to my friends at work who have, and asking them if it looked ok. I wanted to make sure it would be something you would enjoy. They keep asking me if you have received the package yet, so I can't wait to tell them tomorrow.

Funny story, I asked one person at work if he played Borderlands, and out of the corder of my eye, I saw someone else's head whip up at the mention of the game. I asked the other person if he played the game, and he started in about how it was his favourite thing. (Kinda like I am with Doctor Who) When I showed him the vault symbol, to make sure I was doing it right, his eyes got big and he asked if I could do one for him. LOL

Oh my goodness! My gifts were so freaking awesome! Knitten Kitten made a little something special for all the members of my family. A bow for my daughter, an anatomical diagram for my hubby, and a framed picture of my family in Zelda form. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

Labyrinth is one of my absolute favorite movies and she made a wonderful pattern of my favorite character, Sir Didymus! She also sent a lovely note and I love the little owl drawing as well.

Phew, finally got the stitching itself finished! Now I need to let it dry and then flatten it... and see about finding a frame and getting it in the mail! :O Only one gift for my swappee, but it was made very much just for them!

I got my gift from merrywether last night! And all my friends that were around when I received it liked it so much that I almost didn't get to keep it! But I was able to fight off the hoards and keep a hold of it! Now I just have to decide where to put it in my room! I don't think the dormmum will notice an extra nail hole in the wall
