Re: JAN - FEB Challenge! Romance!!
I have a "lovey" pattern that I've made, but I won't be stitching him anytime soon
as I have many WIP's pieces on the go, and he's a large piece 180 x186. (so a 10 x 10.3 inch)

Re: JAN - FEB Challenge! Romance!!
Hi all!
New to the board, but I've just finished my submission for the Romance Challenge, my first self-patterned cross stitch. Whew! Shortly after starting to read the blog and discovering 8-bit stitching, I saw and loved Wall-E and knew when I saw the adorable end credits, and knew I had to stitch some of the quasi-8-bit scenes. The announcement of the challenge was extra incentive to finally get started, as was the impending V-day holiday! I took some screencaps, put them together, and after nights of tedious redrawing of pixels, I had a pattern! After several weeks of stitching, I finally had an (almost on time) Valentine's Day gift for my bf.
18 count black Aida, about 180x120px (stitches) (about 8.5x10.5", unfortunate for finding a frame
)
I was strongly tempted to do some backstitching in parts for extra detail, but am kinda strict and thought that might violate it's whole 8-bitness.

Akegata & Laialda-- Thank you for the lovely comments. c:
Leeloo-- Wall-E and Eve!! They're cute. I especially like how the little plant came out.

It's not too late to submit an entry is it?
I'm really close to being done with mine and I've gotta find my camera too. Hopefully I can put it up tomorrow.
What's the deadline?
