Anyway, already gotten started on my next portrait, should be very nice. But I may be gone for a while--phone/internet will be shut off very soon, will be moving within a week and a half, having car trouble, and all kinds of other issues, lots of worrying--but will try to check in from public locations when I can, afterall I'm still participating in this challenge.

Oops, meant to PM, not post a message, silly me.

Re: JAN/FEB Challenge - Portraits!
Alright, finally finished my beard! There's a few spots at the top that I missed when I had the color out (it was on a different page of the pattern) but I'll get them when I roll the fabric up on my frame. lol Yay, back to big blocks of color for the time being (at least mostly, anyway lol)!
For the record, this is the biggest project I've ever done so I'm very nervous and proud that I'm doing it. lol After I get this done I'll start work on my charity quilt piece that is much easier with the color changes.

I love the frame
did you stitch by eye or do you have a pattern you would be willing to share for it?
WIPS: Dwarf Fortress blanket, sailing ship stitch, shiny pokemon, moth bags

Re: JAN/FEB Challenge - Portraits!
I modified a pattern from a "vintage" pattern book I got with one of my CrossStitcher mags. The frame they had didn't quite fit around Black Mage's face, so I made it a bit wider and tallerPyper wrote:I love the framedid you stitch by eye or do you have a pattern you would be willing to share for it?
I'll be happy to share my version of it!
