Hi everyone! I absolutely love the site! Where have you been hiding? Lol. I'm starting the awesome Final Fantasy Monopoly pattern by Jadely. I've been cross-stitching and sewing since I was about 5 years old. I love it! I'm hoping to upload some pics so I can join the mini-swap. Hugs and good sewing to all!

Hi everyone!
I'm Viki, I'm a full time mum to 2 girls and one mad puppy! I love stitching and crochet, never thought of incorporating my geekiness into either craft until very recently, I love subversive stuff as well as quirky and cute, but would love to stitch something from Nightmare before Christmas or Zelda as these are my favourite ever characters, I personally think the Wii console destroyed gaming but that's just my humble opinion! I have been a fan of play station and gameboy/ds since the beginning and am slowly getting into Xbox. The best thing is my girls love gaming too!

Re: Introductions
Hey,
I'm from New Zealand and learnt how to cross stitch when I was around 10 (yay for Nanas!) but have only just recently started cross stitching again. I love being able to watch TV while I stitch - I feel guilty about wasted time unless I multi-task while watching TV, so cross stitch is perfect for that. Am in LOVE with the patterns I have seen on here so far, and am looking forward to trying some out. I hope to make a cross stitch gallery of Sega Genesis/Mega Drive game covers for my new house...whether I actually get around to it is another story!
Looking forward to contributing and seeing more finished projects from the talented members here

Re: Introductions
Hi all.
I'm Sam, a 40ish bookstore owning mom to a geek in training... he's inherited my Star Trek fandom and his dad's Tolkein obsession. He's the real gamer in the family, but I'm the stitcher. Below is my first stitching project in about 6 years... pulling bits from the book that lead me here. Seeing me do this made my son want to learn stitching, so he's working on making some cross-stitched Minecraft firgures.
I started stitching when I was a pre-teen, and seem to pick it up again every 5 years or so. My church tried to make me a knitter, but that didn't work, and mom is still working hard to make me a quilter (I enjoy parts of it, but the actual quilting I'm horrible at!)... but cross-stitch will always be my preferred craft. Right now I'm working on a big surprise for my husband- Motif No. 1 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motif_Number_1 , where we had our first vacation together.
I've been lurking her for several months and hope to post every so often as I work on smaller projects to break up this big one.

Hello!
I am Becca and I live in Wyoming and I have been cross stitching since I can remember
. I do many other crafts as well. I will be graduating with my bachelors this December
I am so exited to be done with this part in my life!! Wyoming is very cold in the winter and that is when I do most of my crafting.
I love this site!!!!! I have found so many cool ideas for gifts, now only if there was more time in the day

Re: Introductions
Hello everyone. I've been lurking for a while on here, and I figured it's time to introduce myself and see if I can't be active in this cool community. My name is Chris. I go by BitBrushStudios or MrGilder online.
I don't stitch, but I do make pixel paintings and what I call "wooden sprite standees". There seems to be a wide variety of game related crafts on here, so I feel prettymuch at home already. I have a standard 8-5 weekday job, but I like to balance my free time between painting and gaming. I really just love to talk about video games with everyone who will listen.
I have a big collection myself and lots of obscure knowledge about weird games.
My most recent pieces are a pair of 8-bit Zelda paintings that were completed as a commission:

Right now I'm working on a standee of a Met from Mega Man.
Here are the links to my sites around the web, if any of you want to connect with me on any other accounts that you may have:

I can't wait to make some friends here on Sprite Stitch.
