First project: Mario Kart

Post by Nadj »

Hi there,
I'm new to this forum, so what's better to introduce myself than giving you a picture of my first real project: Mario on his kart for my lil' bro.
Image
This is one of my very first projects, I still need to improve my ironing skills. Sorry for the bad quality of the picture, I took it with my phone.
As for me, I'm a 22-year old French girl, working in video game translation. (btw, I know my English is far from perfect, so don't hesitate to correct my mistakes!)
I hope to show you my new projects very soon ! Perler beads for the moment, then cross-stitching!

Nice job! I like how the grass looks like it's being kicked up. (it does to me anyway :D )

your ironing looks great for a beginer, maybe just a little bit more pressure. Other than that...looking great

It looks GREAT to me! You've matched the colors really well-- and your ironing looks better than mine. Whenever I do perlers I push TOO hard and melt the board pegs underneath.

I see you're using Hama! That dark red and maroon that Hama offers makes for much better shading. (PS Your English is pretty good!)

Thanks everybody for the nice comments!
I do use Hama, that's easier to find here in France, and they have every possible color!
I'll show you my next project soon... Frog from Chrono Trigger, I finished it a few days ago but my camera was... well, somewhere I could'nt find it!
