Sprite Stitch Board!

I’m currently working on a campsite. I stitched up a chair and when I went to connect it to the grass underneath it I noticed it was too far right. I ended up unpicking it to move it left. When I did so, I noticed the fabric in the area I moved the chair from was colored from the thread. Does anyone know a way to fix this? That area won’t have any stitches stitched over it. Please and thank you

Try giving it a quick wash? It sounds like it's just fluff that gets left over from unpicking, in which case it will come off in the water.

Well I've nothing better than what blackmageheart suggested. I would suggest trying that quick wash NOW instead of hoping it comes it later. You want to lift it before it gets set in.

Try soaking it for about 15 minutes or more, then gently rubbing it in your hands. You might be able to get it to lift off without any soap once the fibres relax.

Barring that, you could take some tweezers to get as much as you can before and/or after the soak.

Getting it wet helped. you now have to look really close in proper light to see anything strange. Thanks for the help. I am posting the finshed picture.

You can try removing some of it with tape too (the sticker the better) before washing it.

I have a soft bristled toothbrsuh i use and I rub gently in circles and that usually does the trick, it also moves the fabric fibers everso slightly, which makes it also look like nothing was ever stitched there....then I also use a little tape to remove anything lingering.... hope this helps.
