Help needed in rescuing a project

Hey all.

I've been doing some stitchings for my brother and sisters for Christmas. They were intended to be coasters as I had some acrylic coasters waiting for inserts, however, the coasters won't close on the designs as the stitched areas are too thick ;_;
This would not normally be a problem but I got over-enthusiastic about one of the designs and cut it down to size, not anticipating that it might not fit :banghead:
So, I'm sort of stuck for ideas on how to rescue the little guy, it's a sprite on piece of 22ct evenweave that now measures 9cm x 9cm. I don't have a pic of it right now but can get one tomorrow. I know I could frame it but I was hoping to do something a little different than my usual stitch>frame>give.

I'd be really grateful for any ideas!

Make a tiny pillow? And attach a loop of ribbon to a corner.
Instant Ornament.

Or make a patch out of it to be attached to clothing, a bag, or whatever.

Or you could make a card out of it. I've seen that done with stitches before. But I don't know how that works. Gluing it to cardstock and embellishing with buttons or ribbon?

Dunno. Out of ideas now. =/

Thanks Sirinth, think I'm gonna go with the tiny pillow thing, sounds like the best idea for this thing. I just hope it turns out ok :)
