How to make large perler bead designs?

I've made a few cross-stitch sprite designs, and now I was thinking of trying to use perler beads. Could anyone could describe what size boards they use, and how they assemble creations larger than a single board? It doesn't seem hard to find perler beads (e.g., on Amazon), but I haven't had much luck finding large peg boards yet.

Thanks.

The way that I do it is I bought http://www.koolstuff4kids.com/lgsqcl.html and you can link multiple boards together to fit your needs. Most large designes don't go past 9-10 boards.

Also, for large designs, you can print out something you want to perlerize and place it under the board to get the coloring right and whatnot. I have not personally tried this since I cut and paste sprites from the sprite sheets on various websites, but it can be done.

For ironing, after a large section, place a heavy book over the freshly ironed section so that the cooling process does not cause warping while moving around to another section.

Hope it gets ya started
