I need help making patterns.
I've tried two different pattern makers but I don't understand them at all, I don't understand sizes or anything and both of them mess up the color and the pattern no matter what I try to do. So I try to make patterns using Ctrl + G in Paint and then the image is too large to print off as is. I found multiple tutorials on how to do this on Photoshop and they never work.
Another thing that stinks is that my printer is broken so I can only print off graphed pictures on a library computer (so it has to be in an image format and not a pattern maker format.)
I feel like such a goober because I can't seem to figure it out. My last project was two small sprites so I just drew that out on graph paper but most of the projects I want to do are too big for that. Can anyone give me any advice please?

If you have the image you can post it in the Pattern Requests forum and someone can make it into a pattern for you I'm sure. I don't have a pattern making program yet so that's what I've done. Give it a try.

Servotron did a really good tutorial on how to use KG Chart ...it's over the technique and guides area.

Thanks Karma that made it a little easier. ^_^
I would ask for pattern help but half the patterns I'm gonna want help on aren't video-game related.

sorry to stick my nose in here, but have you tried Jane Greenoff's cross stitch designer? that is one of the simplest ones ive come across and if you dont like PC stitch i recommend it highly. its very easy to use.
however you do need a print driver so that you can get a PDF of the finished pattern, but thats easy.theres loads out there!

Hey,
Hi everyone,my favorite pattern making software is AccuMark of Gerber Technology, but Assyst is good too. I know both and each has it own advantages.
Working by pattern making software is quickly and you could make changes for short time, measures are very precisely.
Thanks.
