Re: When do you stitch?

When I was at TAFE I was doing small kits in class.... The teachers were not impressed till they realised that the particular classes I was doing it in was staff I mostly already knew and I would have been asleep otherwise. I will admit, I think the other students found a little distracting though. Every week they would be like "Oh, can we have a look how much is done!" lol

At the moment I am doing most of mine on the train to and from work (when I can get a seat, otherwise it is reading). I am grateful the fob is tiny and has a deadline... a lot more motivation than my own project which.... isn't going the best and is too big for the train. Couldn't justify making time to do it (but I am reducing my work load soon so maybe then).

Another key time at the moment so I don't feel like I am ignoring him.

I wish so hard I was able to stitch in class! Too much staring at the computer!

I was doing a library technician course, there was one entire subject on types of libraries and functions... blah blah. That class was mostly all listening and wasn't the most... engaging (though the teacher was awesome, just not a "full brain required" sort of one than really needed no notes for me either

I normally stitch late at night between midnight and 4am, but I'm not against afternoon stitching either.I usually have a movie going or I watch my boyfriend play video games. I also like stitching when I'm at the dog park, but it can be hard if a lot of people are there with their pets.

Since my boyfriend and I both like gaming, I do a lot of stitching while he's the one using the TV, but I'll stitch anywhere, any time! I'm a dog walker, and my schedule is kind of weird, so I tend to craft in short bursts. For example: I have to walk a dog tomorrow at noon, and then another at 1pm. I'll use the bit of time between walks to work on stitching because it's not really enough time to do much else. I also like to stitch in the car. I'm always the passenger because I don't have a driver's license, so it's nice to have something to do when we take long rides.

If I stitch for long periods of time, it's late at night. I have trouble sleeping and stitching helps me relax!

I tend to be an after work stitcher - most likely after 6pm depending on how complicated dinner prep was. In my bed with the lappy in my, well, lap, with the pattern up and my ottlight shining (though at the moment, I am one sad panda because it is not working). If I remember to print out the pattern, I will occassionally take it in the car or to friends' houses on the weekends. I am definitely with the TV stitching crowd - right now I am making my way through all seasons of Buffy (again) or whatever has come through Netflix.

I like stitching along with 'Buffy' on. It's one of my favourite shows and I've watched it so many times so it's enjoyable but not too distracting.

I finished Buffy (for about the 10th time) while stitching the Child's Play patches! :) Now I'm rewatching Gilmore Girls.

I stitch anywhere and everywhere. I haven't done a huge project yet (although I have some in mind) so my projects are always super portable. I generally stitch on the couch, but I'll also stitch on my breaks at work, and in the car while my boyfriend drives. I find that if I stitch while watching tv I either make a mistake with counting or miss important scenes of a show, so I love to listen to audiobooks while I work. I get through so many books this way!

Anime I'm stitching along to: Sailor Moon R or Bleach

I usually stitch after dinner. I sit on the couch and stitch with the TV on or while my BF is playing video games. It helps relax me before bed and gets me calmed down after having a crazy day. I also stitch in the early mornings of the weekends - after I've had my first cup of coffee though!
