HELP! Higlighter mark!
OK, so I accidentally left my higlighter uncapped and set my project on it, now there is a dime size pink circle on the fabric, where no sitches will be! How can I remove highlighter? I don't want to test anything without first consulting people with more experience.. I know bleach will weaken the fabric. I tried soaking it in water with mild soap. I even tried a Shout wipe. It lightened up, but it's still there.

Take it to the dry cleaners-- they are experts getting stains out of anything!!!
They might be able to help!!

Re: HELP! Higlighter mark!
A lot of highlighters are water soluble so you might not need to take it to dry cleaning.
Just soaking it in water/a bit of dish soap could take it out.
Once something similar happened to me but it was a dark purple pen on white fabric. >_>
It came right out, however.

Well, it was a Sharpie brand highlighter. So, maybe it's more stubborn? I don't know, but I soaked it in water with a little dawn and even took a soft toothbrush and gently scrubbed. It lightened up, but it ain't coming out completely.

Re: HELP! Higlighter mark!
Normal Sharpie pens are alcohol based so water doesn't do much. You can try a small amount of rubbing alcohol (dab a little on a q-tip) but be warned that it might just make it run more.
What color is the fabric? if it's white just use a spot bleach treatment.

sterilising solution tablets might work, u can find them in the baby section of most chemists/supermarkets.
