Sprite Stitch Board!

I just started this one of Vincent Valentine for my son, the colors are a little dark, so I'm not so sure how it's going to look finished. I'm only two squares in and it's really sinister looking, so I'm hoping it turns out okay (I'd hate to have to put this much work into something that's not going to look alright). All the threads are in DMC colors.
