Just browsing etsy, i came across
http://www.etsy.com/shop/coinchantal?page=1
And immediately recognized servo and lordlibidan's pokemon patterns. I've already PM'd them about it. I know there was a problem like this before. Just wanted to powers that be around here to be aware of a possible problem.

The trouble is that I don't have any kind of copyright or intellectual property over the pattern, which is the only way Etsy will take down something. The only thing I could do is report it to The Pokemon Company which wouldn't help anybody else whose pattern the seller may have took. (I know that there are a bunch of patterns taken from myphotostitch.com)
Here's the email I got from Etsy when I reported it:
Thanks for getting in touch with us. For allegations of infringement, please send us the information as set out in Etsy’s Copyright and Intellectual Property Policy:
http://www.etsy.com/policy/ip. There are SIX (6) pieces of information that we need. It's probably easiest to cut and paste the SIX notice requirements and then after each requirement provide the information necessary to fulfill each requirement. Once we receive all this information, we will comply with our policy.
You may also choose to respectfully contact the other person via Etsy Conversations about your concerns. This page from our Help site provides information about using the Conversations feature on Etsy to contact another member:
http://www.etsy.com/help/article/71?utm ... dium=email
As you can imagine, Etsy finds itself in the middle. Etsy is not a judge or a jury and we can’t offer legal advice. Sometimes a matter is better resolved directly between the parties. However, as I stated above, Etsy will comply with our Policy when we receive all SIX pieces of information.

That is sooo frustrating. Not that shes stealing money from you (which she kinda is), but charging people for stuff they may find elsewhere for free.

You know the picture of the owls in the branch? I know the author of the picture, she also told etsy that the person in question is using her original artwork without her permission and still they didn't do anything. Estsy is part scumbag on these cases.

Yeah, I think basically that unless you have the legal muscle to back up your claim you can't do anything about it.
