Sprite Stitch Board!

I got my boyfriend into cross stitching and he really enjoys it. He wants a sort of project bag but the only ones we've found are old lady floral or really girly. Anyone know where I can get project bags, needle holders, and anything else that's not super girly?

Yeah......I have the same problem....as far as bags go I don't know what the design of them are but I would probably just use something like the 5 star binders, they have sleeves inside for fabric, pockets for needle holders and scissors, and are even hard backed so they have some protection. They would just look like school supplies. I just stitch at home so I have my craft stuff all over the place. Of course I am the king of : make it don't buy.

Try looking on Etsy. I know there can be some more geeky/non-floral bags on there.

I know this one doesn't look manly but my mom got it for me in just a plain navy blue without any kind of pattern. I've been using it for 8 years with no complaints. I've also considered using a toolbox for storing stuff I don't need to carry with me.

I don't know if you're looking for a bag with pockets or whatever, but I got a nice bag from VistaPrint a couple years ago when they had a special. You can put your own design on the bag, and when they have the special going, you only pay for shipping.

It's pretty sturdy, too. It's the bag I've been using to hold my chain maille

I've got the same bag in a plain dark red! They are sometimes difficult to find but try eBay - it's a good place for project bags and tool boxes!

What excellent taste in bags you have!

I use a plain black messenger bag which holds a few giant ziplock/zipper project bags etc until I can get around to making something more personalized to my tastes. I may end up putting a 'bag of holding' tag on it in the meantime.

Messenger bags are great for storing projects because they're a decent size!

I use smallish canvas totes - one I got from blackberrybear for a swap, and two others are blank ones I plan on eventually accenting with stiching.
