A) Do you use a floor standing scroll frame?
B) If so which one do you have?
C) Where can I get a good one in the UK?
D) Are there different heights you can get? Which is the best height to use?
E) Are there any floor stands I can get that I can just attach my own scroll frame to?

A) Do you use a floor standing scroll frame?

No, but only due to space restrictions. I have used them in the past and love them. I normally use a lap stand atm.

B) If so which one do you have?

I work on the Millenium Frame for the most part. They have a stand that goes with it, which is what I would use if I was going to.

C) Where can I get a good one in the UK?

Needle Needs is the home of the Millenium Frame. Coleshill are also really lovely people with good ranges.

D) Are there different heights you can get? Which is the best height to use?

Most of the decent ones are adjustable. The best height really depends on the size of your project and the height of your chair, so it will change from project to project, which is why you should really get one that is adjustable height-wise.

E) Are there any floor stands I can get that I can just attach my own scroll frame to?

Yes, absolutely. Most decent stands actually come without a frame. The only trick is you need to ensure that your scroll frame can attach to the stand without damaging the fabric. As in, most use a clamp system, so if you have a scroll frame that does not have a third bar to go across that can be clamped, then you end up clamping the fabric rolled over one bar which is less than ideal.

The stand for the Millenium Frame is actually quite interesting as it doesn't clamp anything. Its more a way to rest the frame, and my guess is it could be used with any frame.
