That's cool. I've never played FF but would like to stitch a Moogle. Could anyone post up a few pattern in the pattern forum for choices. For people who have never played and would like to stitch. :nod

The other part of the stitch-a-long is getting to know the subject if you don't already. Final Fantasy is an amazing series of games with heaps of unique monsters, GFs, characters and weapons. If you know someone who's played any of the games, ask them what their favourite character is. Watch some youtubes of gameplay. It shouldn't be too hard to find a copy of a game to play (There are at least 13 games in the series). There is an internet full of stuff to explore.

I found a demo of ffvii after some quick googling.

/me likes this part more than actually making things.

EDIT: I think I know what I'll make.

1. Cross stitch the FFviii logo.

2. Knit or crochet quetzalcoatl (One of the first guardian forces you get in FFviii).

Meowgan those are great ideas! I designed a pattern i'm thinking of doing but i'll have to post it when i'm not at work! I was sticking with the moogle theme but now that I know it’s open to all FF games I might rethink it

Quetzalcoatl is winning at the moment. I love making toys.

I think another good idea for a theme would be a certain game company. Like Sierra or Apogee or Blizzard or Lucasarts. Then we'd have a reasonably large selection of games to have ideas on.

I didn't know that about the pattern thief logo. TY Johloh :D My brother likes FF. I shall try and find him something I think. This will be for his Christmas present as I'm doing the Dragon Cross stitch again for his birthday.
