Re: mobile site up!
I like it and I don't like it. It is much easier to read but at the same time it feels like there's a lot of info missing. Could just be me though! I will use it for a while and see how I like it after a few days.

Re: mobile site up!
I love being able to read things easily but I am having the same issue as above wherein I login and it takes me to full site mode (I have an iPhone). I agree with BMH that it seems to be missing...something.
Current projects:
Leftover swap gifts
HP House Scarves
Secret of Mana charity square
Vid game advent calendar

Re: mobile site up!
well, I think the issue is that its supposed to be missing stuff...thats kinda the point of a mobile site?
I have no idea why it would take you to the main site when you log in, thats odd. Ill see if I can figure that out but I have no idea why that would be happening.
I guess the good thing is if you don't like it you can turn it off.

Re: mobile site up!
My primary means of looking at the board is the "View Unread Posts" feature, not "View New Posts" - any hope for that, too? I usually look at the desktop site on my Nook tablet, but I might start using my brand new phone to try out the new mobile version.

Re: mobile site up!
Lol OK so I'm leaving the other message there as a "case in point" - reading is easier but posting options are a bit limited - one problem is that there's no edit button!
(I accidently pushed enter while my phone lagged while updating an app)
Also no way to post images... Not that I could from my phone on the full site either.
Also trying this on my Samsung Galaxy S3 on Chrome.

Re: mobile site up!
Lol, I was playing around with my mobile browser settings and managed to stay logged in on Device #1! Except I then managed to hit the disable mobile site -- where is the enable option or have I potatoed myself out of the mobile world on that device?
Editing posts would be nice as would adding pictures. About the size restrictions though; will people edit pictures before they posted them via mobile?

Re: mobile site up!
I think I'll be eschewing the mobile site for now after a quick test on my Nook. I rely too heavily on the full functionality of the desktop site.

Re: mobile site up!
I have a feeling that the missing items and limited functionality is the point of a mobile site, it uses less data and therefore kinder to your phone or whatever. Hence why I like the normal desktop version, I can do everything as usual but on the move and out and about!
Thank you Johloh for continuing to be awesome and tirelessly working to improve the site! This will certainly be helpful to a lot of people and is another great step forward and I'm sure we all love you dearly for everything you do!

Re: mobile site up!
I personally like being able to quickly load the site without all the bells and whistles on a mobile device - and as QBex said, that's the point. Sometimes I need to just read and add a quick reply, and this makes doing that much easier!
Johloh - let me know if you need help coding anything. While this month is CRAZY for me I should have some time in April to help out!
